Amina Doherty is a philanthropic visionary and global citizen with a proven track record of building effective social justice programs. She is the Head of Programs and Impact at the Clara Lionel Foundation, a nonprofit that supports social change initiatives worldwide.
Amina has collaborated with governments, NGOs, activists, grassroots organisations, and philanthropists to support underserved communities with resources. She co-founded the Black Feminist Fund, a multi-million-dollar initiative connecting Black women donors with feminist organisations and movements worldwide. She is also the founding Executive Director of FRIDA, an initiative that advances human rights and supports young feminist activists globally.
With experience spanning four continents, Amina has cultivated networks that bridge communities and ignite innovative ideas. She holds an MSc in Gender and Development from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Political Science and Women’s Studies from McGill University. Amina advises international feminist funds and sits on several boards.
A creative at heart, Amina is passionate about music, culinary arts, and travel.
